Welcome to Violet & The Fox. My name is Melissa Barkley (but everyone calls me Mel). I am a nature-lover, tea enthusiast and love a glass of bubbles! I am a Mum of two beautiful kids and a wife to a very supportive and encouraging Husband! 

I love creating beautiful flower concepts for individuals, weddings, special events, bereavements and milestone occasions. I believe that flowers not only have the power to elevate a space but also become core memories for all of life's special moments.

My passion is working with the seasons! Just like fruit and veggies, flowers are best when we buy them seasonally, plus what a beautiful way to watch the changing seasons through flowers and foliage! I look forward to seeing my favourites pop up at the markets at different times throughout the year.

I particularly love working on artistically styled weddings and events. It gives me enormous pleasure to work with my couples to create something bespoke and unique for their special day. Similarly, I feel very honoured to create unique floral tributes for bereavement services. To play a small part in farewelling a loved one is truly humbling.
